On this site you will find selected student work, as well as some of my recent personal explorations below.

I've always been deeply interested in the uniqueness of individual cultures, and also in the interconnectedness among all people. In addition to teaching my students essential technical skills, I encourage them to consider diverse perspectives and influences in their work. My hope is that they learn to find inspiration, beauty, and intrigue in the seemingly simplest objects and materials; that they transform them to represent how they see the world as they find their artistic voice. This portfolio represents both process and completed work.
